It’s been eight months, and I still can’t forget a stranger I barely knew.
It’s been eight months, and I still can’t forget you even though we’ve never met in person and only had one genuinely good conversation.
Maybe it isn’t love. Maybe I just became attached because I’ve never really talked to boys, and you were the first person I felt comfortable talking to. We come from different castes and even have different mother tongues, and maybe that difference made talking to you feel even more interesting. I genuinely loved listening to you and talking to you. I loved your voice when you sang and sent me songs, your words sometimes made me laugh, and somehow, I even learned little things from you.
Sometimes I want to text you, but I stop myself because I don’t want to bother you. You probably have your own life, and I don’t want to disturb your path. Sometimes I think I should tell you everything, but then I wonder why should I? These are my feelings, and I don’t want to make them your burden.
I keep telling myself that if I keep everything inside, it will slowly disappear. But somehow, you’re still there.
Sometimes my heart simply wonders, Are you okay? Do you ever miss me? Do you remember me?
I don’t know what this feeling is love, attachment, loneliness, or simply the feeling of wanting to be loved.
I just know that after eight months, I still haven’t been able to forget you.
