Ive been given the error code

Error Code: 0x80004005 code: Eroded Badlands. A file that the Windows Product Activation (WPA) requires is damaged or missing. Please reboot, verify system permissions, and make sure your operating system is up-to-date. I've tried everything in the error message except contacting customer support, but nothing has worked. I have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling both minecraft itself and the launcher a few times, but the problem persists. Does anyone have any advice or experience on this? Thanks.
