I posted a few months ago about a GFX 100S in my local Cash Converters. It was priced well and was in fantastic condition, But the camera was displayed with the body cap off and the sensor in direct sunlight.I was interested in the camera, but mainly wanted to tell the shop not to display it like that.

I negotiated a further discount because of the display and agreed to buy it. However, I went home to buy it online via Click & Collect so that I had a longer return period. When I got back to the shop to collect it, I found that the staff had damaged it in attempting to clean it and box it for me. Specifically, they I scratched the surface of the sensor so that the glass was marked, and I was concerned that the scratch was so deep it may have got to the sensor itself.

Cash Converters took it away, had it serviced Under warranty and put it back on the shelf for £1,800. £400 less than the original asking price, I think, but still less than what I would expect. There were a few original items missing, and so I managed to get it for £1,600 Just by asking for the further discount, Pointing out the lack of peripherals in original packaging.

Update: I can't believe my luck + props to Cash Converters. mint GFX100S for £1600
