YouTube VR says I'm a bot bcus am not signed in

So I've been watching on YouTube VR without an account and after a recent update, the app refused to play more than the first 15/30 seconds before it ask me to sign in to confirm that am not a bot. My questions:

• Is YT VR app on pico store the official release from YT? I noticed that I need to uninstall previous version before i can update it. On Android, this is usually bcus the app signature ia different, indicating a modded apk

• what other app/player can i use to watch VR videos from YT? i dont mind if it got ads, so long it's skippable and doesnt popup random sites
