Traveling to Koyasan, Sept 3rd with typhoon 24

Hi everyone, looking for some insight on whether I should still travel to koyasan tomorrow morning, Sept 3 with consideration of typhoon no. 24. I’m currently in Osaka. First time in Japan and according to the limited information I have read online, the rainfall shouldn’t be too bad in Osaka or Koyasan but am I just being overly optimistic? Is it just not a good idea to travel to a mountainous area?
