Obviously by Season 10, we see Daphne becoming a permanent member of the Crane family, and we see that she will no longer address Frasier and Martin as the usual "Dr. Crane" and "Mr. Crane". I know that when her character was written, we were supposed to go along with Daphne's preference for such formality because of her British upbringing (which is also what I am accustomed to). Of course, the writers had this plan all along for the mix up to reveal to Daphne Nile's true feelings, thus the great ending we got for them as a couple.

But part of me always hoped, like Martin did at first, that Daphne would address him as "Dad", instead of a more American approach of addressing your father-in-law by his first name. Not that it ruined the story, but I just thought that it fits better with Daphne's character. Any thoughts?
