LiPo Battery Charging Circuit Considerations with Buck-Boost Circuit
Hi, so I am trying to design a PCB that uses a 3.7V LiPo .
Taking into account how the voltage of the LiPo changes as it charges and discharges , I opted for a Buck-Boost Converter in order to ensure I always have a stable 3.3V. Perhaps this was not the correct choice , do enlighten me.
Online, I see a lot of guides for Buck converter LiPo charging help and Boost but I cant find it for Buck-Boost. So I've turned to Reddit for some clarification.
I want to know how any or this specific buck-boost circuit may affect the LiPo charging circuitry , E.G.
Are there any additional charging circuit design considerations that are introduced by opting for buck-boost? If yes, What might these be?
In order to prevent back-flow of charge into the battery , is the addition of a diode a good idea here?
And finally, Any suggestions/Links of good guides for LiPo Charging circuits (that fit into an application where buck-boost is involved)
Thanks,
