Scale Lengths: Jazz vs Jag

I've always been a big Jazz/Jag fan, they're seriously such nice guitars. But as a smaller dude with smaller hands, I've always been interested in Jags because of their shorter scale lengths. They're just genuinely SOOO hard to find out in the wild these days, no one lets them go once they buy one haha. Most shops around me will consistently have Jazzmasters in stock...but rarely have a jag, like ever hahaha

My question is: Can you really tell the difference between the 25.5" and the 24". An inch and a half IS quite a difference, but is it really that noticeable? As a smaller dude, it sounds like heaven...but if you can barely tell a difference then I'll just start hunting for another Jazzmaster because I've been itching to get a new guitar for my birthday this month.
