Policy reform on Big 4 Working Hours & Experiences

Hi all, im working on a policy reform for working hours in Ireland among other issues with the big 4 and the regulatory gap. I’m doing some independent research into working conditions in the Big 4 in Ireland, particularly audit (all service lines welcome though), as part of a wider project looking at whether there’s a case for better oversight of working hours and employee protections in professional services.

I’ve put together a short anonymous survey looking at things like busy-season hours, actual vs recorded hours, workload, how comfortable people feel pushing back, client-site working conditions, and employment permit dependency.

I’m looking for current and former employees at any level. I’m not just looking for horror stories either positive, negative and completely normal experiences are all useful.

I’m also particularly interested in hearing from people who moved to Ireland for work or worked here on an employment permit. One part of the research is looking at whether being dependent on an employer for the right to work in Ireland affects how comfortable people feel pushing back on hours, raising concerns, taking sick leave or changing jobs.

It only takes a few minutes and doesn’t ask for your name or any sensitive information.

There’s also an optional bit at the end if you’d be willing to speak privately about your experience. Reach out to me here.
