Is 5-year Electrical Engineering & Management worth it? Also, do summer school courses affect admission?
Hey everyone,
I'm currently looking into the 5-year Electrical Engineering & Management program at McMaster, and I wanted to get some insight from current students or grads on whether the management double degree is actually worth the extra year of tuition and time compared to traditional Electrical Eng. On another note, I’m a bit concerned about how my high school transcript looks for McMaster admissions. I’ve taken all of my Grade 10–12 English courses (including NBE3U) in summer school, along with Civics/Careers and a couple of electives.
Does McMaster Eng care or dock points if you take key courses like English in summer school instead of the regular school year? Has anyone here gotten into Mac Eng after taking English or other prerequisites in the summer?
Appreciate any advice or experiences you can share!
