What is THCP exactly?

For context I tried rolling some THCP flower and it was terrible! It didn't smell like trees at all when I opened it and the God awful taste of pure chemicals paired with the weird infuriating "buzz" that wasn't really a buzz. Ai answers keep popping up some say it's synthetic others say it's natural I'm tired of dumb robots and would like a knowledgeable human to educate me please
