Toyota Avalon Vs Buick Park Avenue Vs Mercury Grand Marquis
Ok so I’m looking for a new used car. I just sold my 2003 Lexus ES300 with 188k for $650 because the transmission had to be changed and I couldn’t afford to replace it, not to mention it needed a power steering pump, the valve cover gaskets and other things. I spent almost 4k fixing it after I bought it in 2024. Only had it for a year and a half.
Anyways before i had that our cars were a 2005 Ford Taurus with 189k and we had it for 16 years and it was reliable for us, we Also at the same time a 2010 Buick Lucerne which I sold for $300 in 2024 with $126k miles because the head gasket leaked. My favorite car when I was younger was our 1997 Buick park Avenue, but we lost it in 2006.
I was wondering between the 2004 Avalon with miles 175k miles for $6,100 or a 2011 Grand Marquis with 66k miles $9,000 or a 2002 Park Avenue with 88k miles $7,000 which is the better deal. All of these are at dealerships, the last time I the Lexus of marketplace I had all the issues. Do I was wondering if going to a dealer is better. These are the ones I’ve seen so far, of course who knows how long they will be available. I’m in The San Francisco Bay Area, so prices are higher here.
I mean I’m nostalgic for the park avenue, but my budget is low. I have enough money for a down payment, but that’s it.
