The Competition Just Started
The market never stays empty. Mammotion recently introduced the Luba 4, and they clearly took the best elements from other robots:
- independent front wheels and floating cutting platform from Roborock
- and the trimmer module design from Yarbo.
But the main hardware differentiator remains their dual-disc system, resulting in a massive 440mm cutting width.
Of course, Mammotion's dev team is nowhere near as advanced as the Roborock devs, and the same goes for their B2C support. However, from a pure hardware perspective, the Luba 4 is exactly the product I am interested in as a replacement for my Luba 2X on large main areas.
My RockMow Z120 Lidar will absolutely continue to work alongside it, permanently handling the most challenging detailing tasks: complex perimeters, steep slopes, and non-GPS/blind areas under dense tree canopies.
