What are the current reliable ways to idle without being kicked?

I’ve been trying anything I can find online but it looks like a lot of it has been patched or outdated. I’m in the early-mid stages of building up my nightclub and connecting to businesses so accruing money to pay for it all is pretty slow going. I keep trying to keep the game up overnight so time can pass and I can wake up, sell a bunch of shit for money and continue on, but I can’t seem to find a reliable way to not get kicked. The sitting on the credits screen method worked for me for about an hour or so, but when I went to sleep and woke up, my character was in a precarious Trevor situation (I originally left him in my apartment) and literally no time had passed.
