Thoughts on the state of left leaning communities?

It seems to me that left leaning communities are in a constant state of implosion. A split could happen over the slightest difference of opinion. You can't wield a sword that can't stick together, so not much gets done, and if it does get done, it's temporary.

Destiny's personality is a small factor, but I think left leaning spaces in general just tend to implode unless there is some illiberal force binding together. The Alliances are tenuous, fleeting, and temporary, at best. It sucks man, it's just frustrating that a group of clearly more thoughtful folks can't band together to do the easiest shit.

Where as, in conservative communities, they hate each other guts, and they'll still softball each other for interviews and such, but they'll still have each other on. Of course, when it's time for policy decisions, someone takes control, and now the rubber meets the road and they start getting pissed at each other, but at the very least they were able to muster that political power.
