Feel like I ruined my life lol.
19, moved away for college, and struggling financially. looking for advice
Hi everyone, I’m 19 and recently moved several hours away from home to attend college. Since moving, I’ve been under a lot of financial stress. I had to quit my job when I moved, and I’ve sent out tons of applications and followed up with employers, but unfortunately I haven’t had any luck so far.
Before I moved, my boss had told me that there might be an opportunity for me to do some administrative work online for her and make a small amount of money each week while I was away at school. I was really counting on that as a way to help cover some basic expenses, but unfortunately that opportunity fell through very last minute.
Things have gotten pretty difficult. I’ve been missing meals because I’m running low on money, and I’ve been feeling nauseous almost 24/7 because I’m taking medication that I need to take with food, but I often don’t have anything to eat.
I’m honestly getting pretty desperate to find work and have some kind of income, but I’m not sure what else I can do. I’m open to pretty much anything that could help me make some money while I’m in school.
Does anyone have any advice for making money as a college student, finding a job quickly, or resources I should look into? I’d really appreciate any suggestions, including things I might not have thought of.
Thank you so much. I live in Canada btw.
