Gifted and Subs; Do they stack?

I was mutlitasking chatting in a channel and while I bought six months worth of subs when I was gifted a sub in the same channel. Does the gifted stack on the six months sub, so the gifted goes until October and then the six months subscription kick in? Or would the gifted cancel out the six months subs?
