Can applying very early to BL firms ever hurt you?

I’m aware that some firms give out offers much earlier than other firms. And I know some firms even give out offers before grades come out (which happened at my school last year). I’m worried that if I apply super early, I might get an offer from a much less competitive firm that isn’t my top choice, and I won’t have enough time to see if I’m even being considered for a different firm that I would much rather go to.

Is this something I should realistically worry about?
