Deloitte plans to contribute to Invest America accounts for employees’ kids?
Seeing a ton of big companies already stepping up and putting real money into Invest America accounts for their employees’ kids. Employers can contribute up to $2,500 a year tax-free per employee, and it counts toward the $5k annual limit for each kid. A bunch of major firms (American Airlines, Dell, Goldman, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Schwab, SoFi, etc.) are already offering matches or direct contributions. Roughly 50 companies have already pledged something.
Meanwhile Deloitte has been completely quiet on it. Feels like we’re lagging on a pretty meaningful family benefit that a lot of firms are already rolling out. Anyone hearing anything internally about whether this is even being discussed, or are we just not planning to do it?
Regardless of the politics, this is a great benefit for children (free money from government and employers).
