Eligibility - ancestor drafted into US military

Hi all. Thank you already to the many folks who have been helpful with my questions! I filled out the eligibility questionnaire with my local consulate. One of the questions is “did your ancestor voluntarily serve in the military of any country other than Germany.” My ancestor (grandfather), was drafted in WWII (US army). To me that is not VOLUNTARY service, but I’m not sure how they see it. Will that prevent me from being successful with Feststellung? And assuming it doesn’t preclude me, I assume I’ll need to obtain his service record/DD214? Thanks in advance!
