Problem with speakers

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I was using my MacBook Pro (M4 Max) and everything was normal. Today I woke up, played some audio, and the built‑in speakers sounded completely distorted , like when you turn the volume way too high and the speaker “blows out” or crackles because it can’t handle it.

The screen was repaired about 3 months ago at an official Apple store. I haven’t dropped the laptop or spilled anything on it, and I didn’t change any audio settings.

This feels really strange and I’m starting to feel exhausted by the quality/reliability of this computer. Has anyone had a similar issue? What ended up being the cause, and how did you fix it?
