what is milgram's fandom reputation?

i have a family member who enjoys it right alongside me (yet we have differing taste in verdicts sometimes), but then another one calls it 'murderer slop' and implies it's disgusting to spend time thinking about murderers (which, if you've seen me posting on this sub a lot, lol). this person also calls it '>!mammogram!<' derogatorily... 💀 which kind of upsets me, but i do really respect the unflinching morality of this family member - it reminds me of kotoko a bit. murder is so normalized in media and such that's it's refreshing for me to have someone like that around. it's a grounding force, a bit, that allows me to step outside of the milgram fan bubble and think about the general public perspective a bit more.

so yeah, how did the people you know react to the concept of milgram/what have you seen floating around the net?
