Look you play Tainted Lost because it makes you feel alive. You die a lot. But sometimes the game provides. And then sometimes the game just decides to toss difficulty out the window and give you everything. Damocles is one of those items which was basically made for the lost - not really great for anyone else but for Tainted Lost especially it's incredibly broken. All upsides and no downsides. Get it in the early game and it snowballs incredibly quickly.

Red chest to devil room on floor one. Damocles in devil room. Library on first floor, exhausting most of the library item pool. Library on second pool, exhausting the rest of the pool giving me book of virtues and some items. Then thanks to book of virtues I got an angel room that gave me two angel statues, and one of those angel statues dropped Godhead along with its key piece. At this point I already had technology, spirit sword, crown of light and Godhead. Then I found another library.

Later added Birds Eye, Ghost Pepper, Poly, a whole bunch of other stuff. Max damage was over 200. Half the time i couldn't even see what I was hitting because of all the fire and it just didn't matter. Eventually steamrolled through both Mega Satan and Delirium with zero effort.

Now granted this was the best possible outcome - floor one Damocles and three libraries, but it was also a really good demonstration of its potential too. I almost never felt in danger of losing this run and the one time I did it was entirely due to my own carelessness.

I included the seed, if you want a to play a tainted lost run where you get to feel powerful and broken.

Can we talk about how ridiculous Damocles is on Tainted Lost? Perhaps THE best item for him.
