Confused about a few things in the Lindsay Clancy case.

Removed: Mental Health

I wasn't planning on following along, because my mental health cannot handle it, the last time I got obsessed with a case was the Idaho 4, and I could not sleep properly for weeks, I was too scared to even go to the bathroom at night, even though I live an ocean away. But whenever I open any social media platform now, I always see some hot takes about her case, so I looked into it a bit, and I have a few questions about it. Also, I'm sorry for my English, I promise I'm not dumb, it's just not my first language:)

  1. Why are some people trying to prove that she was not in psychosis/she was aware of her actions by saying that she refused to take the meds prescribed to her and she checked herself out of mental hospitals? It feels so obvious that when someone is sick, they're not exactly going to be complying super well and taking their meds like they should, that's why they need help from other people, it doesn't prove anything that she refused treatment.

  2. If she really was on multiple medications, couldn't they have caused her becoming psychotic? I've heard of cases where the wrong combination of meds caused people to have a psychotic break.

  3. If she really is guilty, she killed those kids while being completely aware of what she was doing, why? I get that the people defending her in any way are completely with the idea that she was suffering from post-partum psychosis, but if she wasn't, then why did she do it? And if she really was "just" suicidal, and she killed her kids because she wanted to kill herself and thought that they would suffer without her, shouldn't she still be going to a mental health facility rather than jail? I don't know where the law draws the line, I think almost every murderer has a mental illness, there is absolutely something wrong with your head if you kill someone, and they should all be getting therapy, and extremely depressed people's judgement is impaired, so even if she wasn't in psychosis, she still wasn't thinking clearly if she has depression.

  4. Why has Patrick said things that ended up being proven as completely wrong? Like that when he found Lindsay, he said that she told him that the kids were in the basement, when it was later said that she couldn't have possibly talked to him. Also seen him say that their bedrooom's walls were splattered with blood, and then later it was said that they were actually completely clean? There was also a thing about him saying that one of the kids was eating nuggets on the couch when he left, which was then allegedly proven wrong. I just don't understand how or why his mind would make up things like that, it's due to the extreme trauma, I assume, but I still find it confusing. There are so much misinformation surrounding everything he says unfortunately, and I can't pick out what's actually the truth because I keep seeing different things. (please don't comment any conspiracy theories about him being the killer, or any radical opinions, I don't believe that and it's just dumb)
