To TP-Link, or Not To TP-Link...

Hello, experts!
I'm getting started with replacing my switches and bought a few of the TP-Link Kasa KS225 switches. I setup the first one with the TP-Link app, and the second one with the HA app. Both seem to work fine, but the TP-Link app noticed the firmware version and offered to update it. HA doesn't see any FW updates available for the HA onboarded device.

So, with that out of the way, my question is what is the preferred way to use these switches? I would assume an HA only workflow is best, but the firmware issue makes me wonder if there are reasons to use the TP-Link app.

Pretty new at this and hoping for some guidance from the community.
