Crumble Dungeon strats?

So I know Crumble Dungeon uses all of your cookies, but I’ve noticed I deal significantly more damage when I invest in fewer cookies. What’s the best way to maximize damage dealt? Are there specific cookies I should be investing in that I haven’t already?
