3 automations that are silently leaking revenue in your GHL account audit yourself in 10 minutes

Spoiler

I spend most of my time inside clinic and doctor-led GHL accounts, and the same three leaks show up so consistently that they're the first things I check when someone hands me their login. None of them look broken from the outside that's what makes them expensive. Run this audit on your own account:

Leak #1: Your missed-call text-back is a dead end.

The text-back fires great, that part everyone sets up. But go check what happens when the lead replies. In most accounts I open: nothing. The reply sits in the conversation view with no workflow trigger behind it. No tag, no pipeline move, no task, no notification with a deadline. So "yes, 2pm tomorrow works" goes unseen until end of day, and by then the lead booked with whoever answered first.

The audit: text your own tracking number, miss the call, reply to the text-back. If no human gets pinged within a minute, you found leak #1. The text-back isn't the automation the response to the response is.

Leak #2: A nurture sequence that stalled months ago.

Open your longest-running workflow and check the execution history. Look for a step where contacts pile up. That cluster usually means a broken custom value further down a deleted calendar link, a renamed field that errors out silently. Emails 1–2 send forever, email 3 onward never fires, and GHL doesn't alert you. I've opened accounts where hundreds of contacts were parked at the same dead step for half a year.

The audit: workflow → execution logs → find the traffic jam. Anything built before a calendar or field rename needs a re-check.

Leak #3: You confirm bookings but don't prevent no-shows.

Confirmation email on booking: almost always there. The 24-hour reminder, the 2-hour SMS, the "reply C to confirm" flow, and a morning flag to the front desk for non-confirmers: almost never there. For appointment-based businesses this is the priciest leak of the three — a no-show isn't just a lost lead, it's a dead slot you already paid to fill.

The audit: book a test appointment on your own calendar and see what arrives on your phone in the 24 hours before it. If it's silence, that's the leak. The minimum viable fix takes under an hour to build and is usually the fastest revenue recovery in the whole account.

The pattern across all three: the account looks automated, but the pieces don't talk to each other. Setup isn't a system.

Drop your symptom in the comments "leads reply but nothing happens," "my sequence stops sending," "no-shows are killing us" and I'll tell you where in your account to look.

And if your account is tangled beyond a comment-sized fix: I'm taking on 2–3 cleanup projects this month while I build case studies. You cover the tool costs, I do the work, and if it delivers you write me an honest testimonial. DM me or check my profile.
