Music theory for synths

Hi! I love playing synthesizer but want to get better with music theory/arraingment. I can make cool patches, basslines, and programmed drums but when I get to melody, I struggle. Any good resources you recommend? I prefer to learn by videos, it would be great if the instructor utilized a piano (even better if it’s a synth), and, long shot here, but I’m into dance punk, electroclash, synth pop, and italo disco so if anyone knows some music theory resources that apply more directly to those genres, even better. Thanks!
