My clutch fluid keeps turning pond water brown

Question (Serious Replies Only)

Over 2 months, I've bled my 1997 Tercel clutch system twice, and am likely the first person to do it. The original fluid when I bought the car had the color and sediment levels of pond water, and a month after bleeding it through the slave cylinder it looked the same so I flushed it again.

I thought it would stop turning brown if I flushed it enough, but I've put over 1.5 qts through it, and it needs to be flushed a 3rd time with no sign of slowing down. I'm considering putting evaporust in it to remove the corrosion, then flushing it with brake fluid.

I never had issues with the clutch, it's never leaked or lost pressure or gone soft, the color is the only problem. But it bothers me having it look like that.
