Why Beyblade Burst Is the Better Anime

To be honest, in my opinion, Beyblade Burst is the better Beyblade anime, even though some fans of the older seasons might disagree with this opinion.

First of all, the characters are much more developed. While Valt, Shu, Aiger, Free, Lui, and others may seem to exist just to introduce the next battle, they have personality traits, goals, rivals, and even character arcs. In other words, the characters evolve throughout the plot.

Speaking of which, the battles are way more strategic too. Beyblade Burst puts much emphasis on such concepts as Beyblade types, abilities, launch techniques, stamina, attack patterns, adapting to your opponent, and so on. The win does not come from the fact that one Bey is just better than the other in terms of strength. There is always some strategy involved.

The progression of characters is another huge advantage of Beyblade Burst. Valt starts as a beginner blader who then turns into a professional player, making his victories meaningful. The same applies to Shu and Aiger, each of these characters has to deal with their own challenges and progress.

The animation and Burst gimmick make the battles really satisfying to watch as well. Watching your Bey bursting after a hard-fought match adds a new dimension to the fights.

The older Beyblade seasons are clearly legendary, there is no doubt about it. People have valid reasons to like them better, mainly due to nostalgic value. However, if we are speaking about Beyblade as an anime, I find Beyblade Burst to be better in terms of character development, rivalry, strategy, world-building, and battle progression.
