I built a meter that shows what a meeting costs, per second, while you sit in it
Dollars Per Second is a free meeting-cost meter. Enter the headcount and an average salary, press start, and the cost ticks up every second. That is the whole product.
Why: to put a price on a meeting while it is happening, instead of estimating it afterward.
Status: live, free, no signup for the meter. It is a static site; the math and the meeting history run in the browser and stay on the device. CSV export is free. A paid tier adds a dashboard and saved presets. There is a weekly essay series alongside it, Cost of Your Time, and the first issue is up.
Limits: it counts base salary only, so the real figure is higher once benefits and overhead are in. Presets live in one browser and do not sync between devices. I do this on evenings and weekends, so replies come slowly.
Feedback I want: does the number change anything in your meeting once it is on screen?
