AIO? I haven't spoken to my mom since she ignored my texts. (English is not my native language, so I'm using a translation tool.I'm not sure if I posted it in the right place, I just came across this.)

Hi everyone, I'm 16 now, but this whole thing started when I was 14.

Back then, I was putting away the laundry like usual. Out of nowhere, my mom got angry and yelled at me, "Why does nobody in this house ever help me? Giving birth to you kids hurt so much, and I’m the only one paying for the electricity and water bills!" (We run a small 5-room hotel). I was completely shocked by her harsh words and said, "I didn't ask to be born." She immediately snapped back, "If I knew you’d turn out like this, I would’ve had an abortion." Hearing that broke me. I ran to my room, locked the door, and cried hysterically. I couldn't even eat that day.

When school break started, I completely isolated myself in my room for three months. I only came out when she went to work, ate just one meal a day, and drank water—I felt guilty relying on her for anything. My grandmother, aunt, and cousin tried to convince me to come out, but I refused. During those three months, my mom would constantly come to my locked door, yell, and try to guilt-trip me. She’d say, "Do you have any idea how much pain I went through to give birth to you? Do you know how much money I spend on you and the bills? Being a mom is so hard. When you're on your phone, why don't you search up the meaning of the word 'Mom'?" (In my head, I wished she would search up the word "Child" instead). She'd also constantly complain that having me was her bad karma. (Note: My parents live separately because they fight a lot. My mom once tried to send me to live with my dad, but he rejected me).

When I turned 15, my mom was involved in a drunk driving accident. Honestly, when I heard the news, I felt completely numb, as if it happened to a stranger. Still, I tried to be nice to her while she recovered, hoping she’d realize her mistake and stop drinking. But as soon as she healed, her drinking got even worse—she started getting drunk every other day. I was so frustrated that I barely spoke to her anymore.

The breaking point happened recently. She was out drinking late again. I have an 8-year-old younger sibling, and I really dislike sharing my bed, so I texted my mom to come home early. She kept saying, "I'm on my way," but hours passed and she didn't show up. After waiting for so long, I finally texted her, "If you don't come home now, I'm locking the front door." Ten minutes went by with no response, so I blocked her, brought my sibling to my room to sleep, and stayed awake waiting. She finally stumbled home at midnight.

Since that night, I have completely cut off communication with her. If she asks me something, I ignore her. If she yells, I don't care. Nowadays, I eat my meals at my grandmother's house and spend all my time locked in my room avoiding everyone at home. My mom doesn't even seem to care that I'm ignoring her.

My plan is to finish high school, apply for a scholarship, and move far away. Once I get a job and save enough money, I want to bring my sibling to live with me and only ever visit my grandmother and aunt.

Am I overreacting, or am I in the wrong? What should I do?
