A question about wifi on my X3

Just got flashed crosspoint. Calibre plugin for wireless works great. But have a question of Wifi. Once you connect to your wifi is it persistent? Or requires reconnection after sleep or power off? As software really lacking in letting me know if device is connected or not?

Also any way to increase size of font for main menu? As it stands unnecessarily small with wasted space making it harder to read.
