Hi all, I’ve been dealing with a headache that has lasted for more than four weeks now. The pain is all over my head and mostly feels like constant pressure. When I lie on my left side, I seem to feel it more on the right side of my head, and vice versa.

I’ve seen my doctor and was prescribed a six-day course of steroids around weeks 1–2. I was also prescribed sumatriptan, but neither helped. I was then prescribed Nurtec for three days, which also did not help.

I was advised to go to the ER in hopes of getting a head scan or possibly a lumbar puncture. The ER did not feel that my symptoms were urgent. They did blood work, which came back normal, and gave me a migraine cocktail. Unfortunately, that also did not break the headache cycle.

I had been taking ibuprofen and Tylenol throughout the day, but by week three they stopped helping. I’ve now stopped taking both in case they were contributing to an undress headache cycle

Today, I woke up and noticed a rash of tiny red bumps all over my body, mostly on my belly and chest. I have no idea whether it’s related to the headache, but after having this headache for so long, every new symptom makes me anxious.

The headache is constant and never fully goes away. Most of the time, the pain is worse in the back of my head. I’ve never experienced a headache like this before. Over the past two days, it also seems to have gotten slightly worse. At times, the pressure makes me feel like my head is going to explode, although I also know I’ve been thinking about it constantly because I’m so worried.

Could the red bumps mean anything in relation to the headache, or are they most likely unrelated?

I am 27 years old, F, I don’t take medication regularly, but have been taking magnesium and B12.
