forced to be vegan

we used to have a pet bird, and since it died (like 10 years ago) i've been FORCED to be vegan. at the age of 6 ish i was shown gorey videos of animals.

i COMPLETELY understand, yes i havent eaten meat. but then she forces me to force MY boyfriend to be vegan.

she says, if he is not vegan, then i cant be with him/live with him.

same with having a dog. i want a dog really badly, but she says she will feed the dog a vegan diet. isnt that.. abusive ....

I just dont understand. same as me, my boyfriend, and dogs, what is the point of being forced to be vegan if the "mindset" isn't there? there is a difference between vegan and plant based?

i completely understand making humans vegan but dogs don't understand anything like us. if you put one meat free treat on one plate and a meaty treat on another, it will go straight for the meat one, no? in that sense, is it not more immoral to like, force your lifelong friend dog what to eat?
