If your vehicle goes to 0 hp, does it get destroyed or can you still fix it?

Recently got the gyrocopter and I've been trying some stunts with it like trying to fly under billboards, through buildings or bridges. Just realized I am many KMs away from my base and I got down to 7% on my last crash. Repaired it back to 100% right away. Would I have been screwed if I ended up breaking it?
