Left alone unannounced 48 hours post-op

Feels

Currently feeling very frustrated and more than a little pissed off. I am 48 hours post ACL+meniscus revision, and my parents, who would be classed as my primary caregivers, have decided to leave me home alone for the day with no warning whatsoever. Am I justified to be pissed off at this?

I get that people have their own lives and stuff to attend outside of the house. I get that two adults (retired mind you) can't just drop everything on a whim to look after someone. But a bit of warning before leaving me home alone so soon after surgery would be nice, ya know?

This is my second rodeo. I told them already that the pain this time around wasn't as bad as last year. Last time I was fully non weight bearing and could hardly move around the house without wanting to pass out. This time I'm a little more mobile and am weight bearing, but still in pain and using 2 crutches constantly. It almost seems like they heard that and assumed I would be okay by myself - like no??? How am I meant to prep food? What if I have a fall and there's nobody here to help? At least let me know in advance that you won't be here :/

Idk, I realise that many other people don't have the privilege of much help after surgery and have to do a lot alone, so maybe I'm just being dramatic?? It just feels inconsiderate and a little unfair for people who know the situation I'm in to just leave me to it without letting me know? Rant over sorry thankyou for listening all ❤
