Reddington is the reason for the public reaction to this case, the Lindsay support, and the conspiracy theories. People were duped.
I just thought he was an ahole, but in the last few days have realized (as others have) that he’s a master manipulator. He knew what he was doing from the very beginning, from the moment he planted the seed of “postpartum psychosis.” People became inflamed because of empathy for postpartum, mental health care, and women’s issues. And that is totally understandable! But then the trial didn’t prove the case to really be about any of these issues at all. She had a couple months of mental health care, seeking out different meds, and her baby was already 8 months old so the “postpartum” argument is already weak. Doesn’t matter though because the people who bought it in the beginning were already hooked by him and his antics. They were duped, plain and simple.
