New to badminton looking for beginner tips on how to play better

Hey guys, I’m completely new to badminton and just getting started.

I bought a local ₹400 racket, but after playing, it started hurting my arm because of lack of grip and even rubbed/cut my skin.

I’m looking to get a decent beginner racket + badminton shoes, but my budget isn’t very high (under 4k for both)

What would you recommend for a beginner? Also, any tips for getting started, choosing racket/string tension, grip, shoes, or avoiding injuries would be really helpful!

What would you guys recommend for someone starting out? Preferably something budget friendly and easily available in Bangalore.
