I’m freaking out! Roach in bathroom

Sorry I don’t have a picture for it. I killed it immediately and flushed it down the toilet. I went to the restroom last night. I turned on the light & saw something run under my bath mat. I lifted the mat and I I killed what looked to me like a German roach nymph. I live in Southern California. I immediately ran to the kitchen turned the lights on to see more signs of them. I moved my stove and I moved my refrigerator and see no more signs of them. I’m hoping it was another type of roach or hopefully just one that came in. Can someone tell me if California has any roaches that look similar to German I might have confused it with? Please help I’m going into panic mode. I suffer from severe ptsd with German roaches. The house I grew up in was infested to the point they would crawl on us at night.
