Denied Globalist breakfast due to staffing issues. Should I/what kind of compensation to ask for?

Arrived 30 minutes before breakfast ended at a full-service property (withholding the name for now unless the resolution isn’t satisfactory). It wasn’t overly busy, but it was clearly much busier than they actually staffed for, and there was a small but extremely slow-moving line to get seated.

After 12 minutes we finally get seated. However, the next 25 minutes are spent watching the wait staff interact with everybody but us. Finally someone comes along a few minutes after breakfast hours have ended to inform us that unfortunately the kitchen JUST closed and they would be unable to take our breakfast order today. I asked what happens to my Globalist benefit then and was told “unfortunately that’s out of my hands, you’d need to go speak with the manager on duty about that.”

Before I do, what, if any compensation should I ask for? Am I even owed anything, or is breakfast a best-effort kind of benefit and I’m SOL? I realize 30 mins prior is cutting it a bit close, and I probably wouldn’t do that to a small family-owned restaurant… but I feel like a full-service Hyatt is a bit different.
