It's odd that we seemingly know more about Chapter 7B than Chapter 7.
We know Chapter 5 will probably skip to Chapter 7B, and we can infer that it takes place under or across the lake. We know that Noelle has lost her mind and is now embracing her reality as fictional, we know that Chapter 5 was skipped and Asgore and Flowery were never kidnapped or killed... And there's a very high chance that the final dungeon Mantle game is foreshadowing for many of the "bosses" we'll end up fighting in Chapter 7 B- Asgore, the angry pink cat who might be Catti or "Pink", etc.
What we know about Chapter 7 is... literally nothing. We can assume that it takes place in the shelter, because that's where the story is implied to end, and that's it.
For some strange reason there's a progress bar for Chapter 7B (and NOT Chapter 7 or Chapter 6).
It's implied that this Chapter will release with Chapter 7... So ar first Ihought there was a chance it could release along with Chapter 6 since it doesn't seem to be very connected to the real Chapter 7, but that's probably not gonna happen with "Same time as 7". Still, "Same time as 7" is kind of weird? Feel like that was the assumption from it being "Chapter 7 B".
It's rather strange, Chapter 7B is getting a lot of focus, and there's almost nothing for Chapter 7. Honestly I feel like Chapter 7B might even be a little easier to predict than Chapter 6??? We don't even know for sure if it's gonna be in the Holiday Manor, Hospital, or someone else.
The closest reason I can think of for why Chapter 7B is being treated like this is that I wouldn't be surprised if Chapter 7B doesn't spoil the "ending" of Deltarune, it's just off the wall madness that has nothing to do with the main conflict of the story, because the main story is "dead" at this point.
