Where do you stand on forgiving villains?
In Column A:
"So the thing about murderous vigilantes is nobody gets a second chance. The twenty year old gangster could become a thirty year old responsible father and husband.. But nobody will ever know if nobody ever gets rehabilitation.
Also Spider-Man created a team called the Outlaws, which were all people who have tried to kill him at some point. I mean, freaking Sandman and Prowler were ready to go to war with the Avengers on Spidey's behalf. That's how much they respected him. Spider-Man gives second chances all the time and will always help even a hardened criminal if they need it. That's why his way is better
'
But Column B:
"There’s a certain point where that becomes actively harmful. Not everyone even wants to be redeemed and if a villain knows they automatically get infinite forgiveness they will continue to abuse it"
I've made it clear which side of the fence I'm on, but do the rest of you lovely people think forgiving villains(including the worst) is more beneficial or harmful?
