Best current compound against Pharaoh ants?

Heya!

Got a Pharaoh ant problem. Researched the topic extensively, currently using a sugar/protein/oil-mix based gel bait contianing 0.05% indoxacarb.

S-metoprene is supposedly a very slow acting IGR, some new recommended compounds are indoxacarb and imidacloprid.

My question is, what is the currently recommended chemical against Pharaoh ants, that is acting reasonably fast without causing the colony to bud?
