I am mainly looking for someone to talk to, get to know, and hopefully build an actual friendship with.

I am straight, but I am not coming into this expecting anything romantic or sexual. If we click as friends, that is completely fine with me.

I work at an elementary school and genuinely enjoy what I do.

Being a straight guy working in elementary education can be a little strange sometimes though. It is a very female dominated environment, so there are definitely moments where I feel like the odd one out. Nothing dramatic, just one of those things you notice when almost everyone you work with has a completely different perspective and social experience than you do.

That is probably part of why I would like to meet more people outside of work.

A little about me:

I am into manga, games, writing, philosophy, history, random thought experiments, and conversations that go way deeper than they probably needed to. I like people who can joke around but also actually talk about things. I am pretty laid back, sarcastic, and usually easy to get along with. I am also a dad, which is a big part of my life.

Between work and parenting I do not exactly have the easiest environment for randomly making new friends, especially other adults I genuinely connect with.

I am in Northern Virginia, so NoVa, DC, or Maryland would be ideal if meeting eventually sounds appealing.

Distance is not a dealbreaker though. I am perfectly happy just talking online if we get along.
