How to stop being so sad about seniors leaving?

one of my close friends is a senior this year (im a sophomore currently) and I keep getting so sad whenever it’s mentioned because I’m gonna miss him so much. he doesn’t graduate till may but last night was senior night and as embarrassing as it is I can’t stop crying. hes one of my favorite people and I hate to see him go. I keep trying to tell myself that it’s good that he’s graduating and that I’m happy he’s gonna go be an independent successful adult but it still hurts so much. Is there anything that can make me feel any better about it or do I just have to suck it up?
