Amanda and Angela's true crime obsession is off putting

this is a weird one and I might be in the minority or on my own here so please tell me if I'm doing too much or I'm just overly jaded from recent events and discourse but recently I've really grown to hate a lot of true crime fans because of the Idaho 4 murders and the recent Lindsay Clancy case, especially when said true crime fans act like they are detectives or investigators and post theories or accuse people without any evidence.

While i was watching the recent Smosh reddit weddings video where Amanda and Angela freak out over the first story happening 19 years ago and saying stuff like "its a cold case" "was there a body" and it kind of kickstarted my brain to look back on other times they've talked about true crime like how in a different reddit stories i Shayne says he doesn't like true crime, Angela says she does, Shayne clarifies that he only likes solved cases, Angela says she likes ones happening right now. other times include Amanda saying that she's like a detective when she watches true crime. idk if it weirds anyone else out that they are this obsessed with true crime, like it just feels like from what they've said they enjoy they lowkey are desensitised and disrespectful to real victims. like i know they've called out the stereotype of white women loving true crime and how they make it for entertainment but they are still watching it for entertainment and the way they talk about it sometimes just really weirds me out, it's like a commodification of real peoples suffering. I'm not offended every time they mention it or think that they are horrible for liking it but I'm just wondering if anyone else was noticed this and found it off putting?

I've also seen so many comments asking for a true crime podcast on Smosh pit with them as the hosts and i really take issue with that because its a comedy channel and i think it'll lead to more of the things i discussed

Idk if I'm doing too much or not, please tell me if i am lol, but its just things I've noticed that are off putting
