Some of yall know her from a medical related post I made a little over a year ago, and the update post.
She was my favorite “person” to have around, and I’m sad she’s gone. I know I’m a little late to make this post, but I’ve been grieving on my own.

She had started to seize at 2am on the 20th of June, and at the time she was at my aunts house (but that’s a longer story for another post). I had received a call at about 6:37am for her and she told me that Molly wasn’t doing well, and that she had seized earlier that morning.

I had hoped in my car with my boyfriend and we drove to her house, I’m not gonna like I was terrified cause she had never seized, and this was the same dog who’s gotten into the trash and chewed up a battery. I got to her house and came inside and went straight to Molly. When I saw her I got on the ground next to her and she had barely moved when she saw me, I could tell she was happy to see me but she was almost off in space.

I picked her up and took her to my car, I sat in the passenger seat and held her while he drove. She started to look around a bit and was smiling at bit but then she had seized in my arms and I felt her little heart stop. I was crying and screaming before her little heart jumped back, but it was very faint. As we drove home and I got out of the car, I walked to my front door; she had seized again. I got inside and held her on her side, and we tried to give her a bit of water to see if she’d drink but she refused it. She then seized again, so to make her last moments comfortable we laid her blanket on the floor and just pet her as she laid there. I’m crying and trying not to scream, then she seized one more time and it finally took her. My boyfriend had checked cause I was too scared to, he told me she had passed away. I can not describe how loud I screamed and sobbed when he told me.

I had picked her up and just held her and cried for hours. He had to leave for work and was late, and I was late for my job. I had called and told them what happened, but they fired me. When he got to work they fired him for being late because he was staying by my side while she passed. I can’t describe how hard it was to let go and I held her til he called me to pick him up. I had put her in her bed and set her in my room.

We had to go to the store to get a box, because we didn’t have the money to cremate her. I made the box as beautiful and colorful as I could. Since I couldn’t cremate her, we did get her paw print but also I had my boyfriend take a small bit of fur from her, I couldn’t do it without sobbing again. When I finally closed to box I started to cry all over again, and then we went and buried her. The whole time I was getting ready, I couldn’t cry anymore cause it felt like I just lost the biggest part of myself.

Placing her in the ground was hard and I watched as they covered her up and I sat out there for a few extra minutes and stared at the spot cause the one thing that hurt me the most, was I had to watch my best friend die twice, and once in my arms.

The thing was she was my best friend, and was there for me when no one else was and then she was gone. She had made me survive some of the hardest days I’ve had. She was the one thing I looked forward to everyday, and now I wake up every morning and remember that she’s gone.

Shes now with everyone’s best friends that had passed and playing her little self away with every toy she could want. I miss her and I loved her, but she’s no longer in pain. That I am grateful for, is that she’s now free of pain. She will and still is my baby girl, even after death.

I love you Molly, I hope you’re doing well with all the others, and don’t stop smiling at beautiful smile.
