Resources to learn about Zviad Gamsakhurdia and his role in the fall of the Soviet Union and the Independence of Georgia for a non-Georgian

So i am participating in the Historical Crisis Council this year at my school's MUN. The topic is the fall of the soviet union and my allocation is the first democratically elected president of georgia, Zviad Gamsakhurdia. The exact time frame of the council is just before the Belovezh Accords were signed. I'm looking for information about him, his role in the fall of the SU, his governance of the country, his biography, his popularity with the people etc etc. The debate is on the 11th of september so that gives me about a week to study up. Any sort of help or resources, preferably in English would help a ton! Also, please feel free to share your personal thoughts about Gamsakhurdia and his work, as long as it's neatly explained. Thanks in advance!
