5 Weeks Post MA as a Med Student

Experience

First I would like to thank FPOP talaga for their legit service. I had to choose between WHW din and FPOP but with my research, must okay ang FPOP kase miso and mife ang provided nila while WHW will only be able to provide me mife.

I’m not saying na hinde helpful ang mife, but ang action kase ng mife is too bring down the “pregnancy hormones” so parang tinatanggalan lang nya ng “support” for a while kaya may ibang pregnancies na nag cocontinue. While miso will cause contractions in the uterus, sya yung mag foforceflly maglabas. So i chose FPOP, kase i felt like the room for error will be smaller.

FIRST DAY
- I took Mife, was still able to go through with my daily routine, nakapag prep ako and pa deliver ng food. Normal lang.
- My friends helped me buy my needs din: 5 packa of Harmee Menstrual Pants, 2 Bottles of Pocari Sweat, Bonamine, and IV Kit (NSS, please dont try this at home without medical professionals, I just wanted to be prepared kase I’ve read na may mga nag eextensive bleeding and bumabagsak bp so I bought IV fluids. The friends na nagbantay saken (and me) are licensed medical professionals so marunong kami mag swero)

SECOND DAY
- Took Miso after 24 hours, nakakain pa ako ng whopper neto.
- Wala masyado cramps sa first hour
- Sa second hour dun na nagstart na yung cramping
- Every time na tatayo ako nararamdaman ko lumalabas ng madami.
- Nilagnat din ako. That’s where we decided na instead 4-4 interval, mag 4-2-2 na ako.
- So ayun, I had chills, I felt like natatae and cramping at the same time

FROM SECOND DAY TO THIRD DAY gang matapos ko yung cycle, same feeling lang. Crampings, sinat. Bumagsak den BP ko to 90/70, 100 - 110 normal ko. So inubos ko halos 4 litters of pocari swear.

6 Large Menstrual Pads ang naubos ko in 12 hours.

Then I continued to bleed minimally na parang nireregla lang for the next 7-8 days.

And ngayon lang ako nag PT, and negative na.

It was an emotional journey for me that time kase days prior the MA, I had to stop taking my antidepressants and many other meds. So I was emotional, really. Guilty din till now, kasi I’m in the right age naman, I do have the financial means but I had to make this decision kasi gusto ko ituloy ang med school and my partner was not ready either.

The process was physically easy for me not gonna lie. 12 hours of pain and that was it. And I feel bad how easy it was. I have been sick for a longer period.

Am I happy with my decision? I don’t know.
Is it the right thing for me to do? Yes. I might have the financial means but mentally I don’t know.

To all the redditors na namessge ko and nag reply sa’kin during those times, thank you so much. Thank you din kay FPOP, eto ako pakalahati na ng 1st sem. Unti unting progress, malapit na maging doctor.

Of course, thank you sa friends ko na nag vital signs sakin the whole night.

And lastly, thank you to this subreddit for giving women choices.
